European embassies show keen interest in UK eCommerce industry
September was a month of networking for James and James Fulfilment, with our Operations Director James Hyde invited to attend private receptions at both the Romanian and Belgian embassies, hosted by their respective ambassadors on the 24th and 30th of September. The events attracted several popular European retailers and were held to promote the value of the Belgian and Romanian markets and to encourage brands to extend their overseas shipping offerings to the UK.
According to the Office for National Statistics, the UK continues to dominate in eCommerce in comparison to the rest of Europe, with a huge 79% of Britons buying online during 2014. Another report published this week also indicates that European customers are growing in confidence when it comes to buying from other countries online, with 159 million having done so last year and 31% of these purchases made through British sites.
Much of this growth has undoubtedly been due to developments in fulfilment and delivery, as the timely arrival of goods continues to play a large part in buying decisions. James and James Fulfilment’s intuitive warehouse technology and real-time order updates make customer service easy for companies wherever they are based.Consumers are demanding, offering a varied range of worldwide delivery services to meet the expectations of the most budget consumer to the most impatient is also vital.
“Speaking with the ambassadors, as well as a variety of European companies, it’s clear to us that there is a real demand for innovative global fulfilment solutions that provide consumer confidence from the checkout to the doorstep.” says James Hyde.
James and James Fulfilment are continuing to expand its offering not only to Europe, but to the rest of the world. To find out more about how this could benefit your business, click here.
