The company joins <a href=\"https:\/\/aws.amazon.com\/solutions\/case-studies\/?customer-references-cards.sort-by=item.additionalFields.publishedDate&amp;customer-references-cards.sort-order=desc&amp;awsf.customer-references-industry=industry%23retail\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eCommerce giants<\/a>, from Amazon itself to Zappos, on the cloud-computing platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James and James <a href=\"\/en_US\/our-story\/\">first developed<\/a> ControlPort in 2010, to bridge the gap between modern eCommerce platforms, such as <a href=\"\/en_US\/order-fulfillment\/shopify-fulfillment\/\">Shopify<\/a>, and traditional logistics operations. Today, the platform provides warehouse management for James and James\u2019s global network of <a href=\"\/en_US\/fulfillment-centers\/\">fulfillment centers<\/a>; order and inventory management for the 300+ online brands the firm works with; and real-time tracking and <a href=\"\/en_US\/order-fulfillment\/returns-handling\/\">returns initiation<\/a> for their customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move to AWS will provide a more solid foundation on which James and James can scale and optimize its operations, as it brings an additional <a href=\"\/en_US\/resources\/news\/liberty-196-announcement\/\">UK fulfillment center<\/a> \u2013 six times the size of its current one \u2013 online over the next year. It will also provide a faster user experience and improved resilience, thanks to AWS\u2019s global locations, near-instant automatic failover and advanced data security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James Hyde, CEO and Co-founder, James and James Fulfillment, says: \u201cAWS provides cloud infrastructure for many of the everyday services we take for granted \u2013 from banks to healthcare providers to government departments.
