Every year the event is expected to get bigger and bigger!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here are some key stats:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">30% increase<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>At James and James, we saw a huge 30% increase in throughput compared to the same period last year, while&nbsp;<strong>still meeting all of our SLAs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00a38.7bn<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite warnings to expect less generous discounts and some shortages, the UK still&nbsp;<strong>spent \u00a38.7bn on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">X2 increase<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Consumers spent&nbsp;<strong>twice the amount<\/strong>&nbsp;that was spent last year, during lockdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">60% of adults<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In the UK, 60% of adults were predicted to make purchases, spending an&nbsp;<strong>average of \u00a3280 each.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">19% increase<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The average size of a consumers shopping cart&nbsp;<strong>jumped up 19%<\/strong>&nbsp;compared to the rest of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">21% increase<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Buy-now-pay-later services like Klarna and Afterpay have been on the rise.
