The people who make Peak happen

Of course, none of this would have been possible without our fantastic people. We’re so grateful and so proud of all the hard work teams across the business put into delivering a tremendous Peak season for our clients, whether they’re involved in the planning stages or on the fulfilment centre floor during the critical period.

As always, the whole business comes together during Peak, with people who traditionally work in the offices coming down to the fulfilment centres to lend a helping hand to their colleagues on the FC floor. Peak is the time of year when the culture, values, and teamwork that define J&J shine at their brightest.

To see more about what makes J&J Global Fulfilment a special place to be during the Peak period, check out our behind-the-scenes video below, which provides a “peak” behind the curtain at both our UK and Columbus fulfilment centres, and how we keep the good vibes flowing so our teams feel energised motivated to deliver for our clients during the most important time of the year, from Dawn ‘til Dusk

The secrets of a successful Peak

If you want to learn more about the planning, expertise, and strategy that go into creating a successful Peak, take a look at some of the interviews we filmed with department heads during the build-up to Black Friday.

Clara Buckingham: Chief People Officer

Clara discussed how we look after our people during Peak, how we ensure we have the right skills in the right places, and why the Peak period is a challenging yet hugely rewarding time for the business.

Alex Sims, Solution Architect & Sr. Software Engineer

We spoke to Alex about how the Tech Team’s approach to ControlPort™ stability is a year-round affair, how the team stays on top of potential issues through the Peak period, and why ControlPort™ is a real differentiator for both our clients and operations teams through Peak.

Kieran Bourke, International Carrier Manager

Kieran spilt the beans on how his team keeps deliveries running smoothly when order volumes reach their peak, and why strong partnerships with carriers are key to maintaining a seamless experience for our clients and their customers.

Michael Murphy, Head of UK Operations

And finally, we sat down with Michael, who shared how the Operations team prepares for Peak, from hiring extra staff to cross-training existing colleagues and partnering with teams across the business.

Peak 2025 rounded off another enormous year at J&J, and we’re anticipating another big year as we move into 2026. To our clients, partners, and community, thank you for joining us on this journey. We look forward to sharing more updates with you in the new year.
