Clean, reliable water straight from the tap is something most of us take for granted. What we don’t always notice is what that water is actually doing to our skin and hair until the damage is hard to ignore. Hello Klean was founded to make that connection, and to do something about it.
Karlee, the brand’s co-founder, discovered the problem firsthand. Having grown up in China before living in New York and Berlin, she began noticing the toll that hard water was taking on her skin and hair. With a background in the beauty industry, she had the knowledge to act on it.
Hello Klean launched in 2020 with a clear ambition to create products that protect skin and hair from the damaging effects of hard water.
Five years on, the brand has grown from two people to a team of more than 20, with customers across the UK and international markets, and a product range that now includes body care, hair care, and scalp treatments alongside its hero filters. Early in 2026, Hello Klean secured investment from industry giants Brita, beckoning in a monumental next chapter for the business.
In 2022, Hello Klean brought J&J Global Fulfilment on board to support their UK operations. Since then, monthly order volumes have grown from around 800 to over 15,000.
J&J is a much more stable and self-service platform than others we’ve used. I don’t need to contact support nearly as often just to do what I need to do.

Hello Klean’s customer service team uses it too, and unlike with other platforms, they’ve never raised any issues with it.
Support that actually knows the answers
The speed of J&J’s support response matters; a reply within minutes during working hours is exactly what you need when something urgent comes up. But what Ana values more is the quality of those replies.
With other partners, the support team and the fulfilment team often feel disconnected. A question gets asked, the answer takes days, and when it finally arrives, it doesn’t quite make sense. At J&J, the people answering are talking to the people doing the work. If support says something, Ana can rely on it.
Her account manager, Ryan, is part of that picture too. Based on-site at our UK fulfilment centre, he can physically check on things when needed, and does. Every escalation gets dealt with hands-on.
The combination of strong customer support and having a dedicated account manager like Ryan really makes the partnership work.

Infrastructure ready for international growth
Hello Klean’s ambitions extend well beyond the UK. With recent investment from Brita, the business has the runway to expand meaningfully into Europe, the US, and Canada. They’re already in active discussions with Ryan about extending their J&J relationship into those markets, replicating in new regions what they built in the UK from 2022.

Getting every order right
Hello Klean has an extensive product range where products come in multiple variants, and as a premium brand, presentation matters. The wrong product in the wrong box undermines the customer experience and creates costly returns.
Ana couldn’t recall a single accuracy issue with J&J. Orders go out correctly, and they go out on time. If an order is placed before the cut-off, it follows the SLA. Every time.
Mistakes can happen, but I genuinely can’t recall any I’ve had to sort out with J&J. I know that if I place an order before the cut-off, it will go out within the SLA. It just happens.

Handling a genuinely complex supply chain
Hello Klean’s products don’t arrive shelf-ready. Their supply chain spans multiple continents – liquid from the US, bottles from China, bottling carried out in the UK – before the finished units need to be packed into boxes ready for dispatch. J&J handles that final step.
What makes the arrangement work particularly well is the way J&J manages the handover from assembly to dispatch. Rather than waiting for a full run of 10,000 units to be complete before releasing orders, the team begins dispatching as soon as assembled stock is available. For SKUs that are already out of stock with hundreds of orders waiting, that responsiveness makes a real commercial difference.
Custom packaging and PR kits, handled reliably
Hello Klean’s fulfilment goes beyond standard pick, pack, and ship. Their orders go out in a custom-branded box with custom tape, and they regularly need PR kits assembled; multiple products combined into a single larger box for press and influencer outreach.
In the vast majority of cases, they turn to J&J to make that happen.

Flexibility where it counts
Booking in incoming goods can be a friction point with some fulfilment partners. Strict ASN requirements mean that if something doesn’t match exactly, a booking gets declined. Hello Klean’s supply chain is complex enough that perfect precision isn’t always possible at the point of booking.
J&J’s approach is different: if something doesn’t match, the team reaches out, gets what they need to confirm the booking, and moves forward. It’s an approach that extends to every area of our service. We have processes, and we’re proud of them, but our processes don’t come at the expense of rigid requirements for our clients
