Welcome to our ControlPort™ Spring Release for 2025.
This update encompasses all major platform releases deployed between April and June 2025, as well as a curated list of minor updates and bug fixes that will be most valuable to you.
Major Updates
Customisable Dashboards
The new Customisable Dashboards feature on ControlPort™ is now available to all clients! This update redefines how users interact with their fulfilment data, allowing them to create bespoke dashboards for the metrics that matter most to them.
We released a dedicated Release Update for Customisable Dashboards a short while ago, but here’s the TLDR:
At launch, the Customisable Dashboards update includes:
- Fully Flexible BI Dashboards
- A Suite of New Widgets & Data Sets
- Zoom, Filter & Drill-Down Capabilities
- Multi-User Access with Permissions
- On-Demand Data Export
- A Clean, Intuitive Interface
Please read the Release Update for further details on the biggest features of Customisable Dashboards, including the drag-and-drop builder, new widgets, drill-down capabilities, role-specific insights, and more.
This is very much the first iteration of Customisable Dashboards, and we have more widgets, functionality, and other useful features in development. We’ll share details on those as soon as they’re ready.
ViewPort Refresh
We recently rolled out an updated look and feel for our customer-facing order tracking portal, ViewPort. Frankly, the platform had started to feel a little outdated, so we’ve modernised it with a cleaner interface and more innovative design elements.
Additionally, we’ve also added new functionality to ViewPort, which enables customers to leave per-item feedback if they choose to.
Previously, customers could only provide feedback for the order as a whole, which may not always be helpful. Per-item feedback should give brands further insight into why products are returned.
Take a look at some of the modernised ViewPort screens below.
We’re looking forward to sharing details on further updates to ViewPort, and our returns capabilities as a whole, in due course.
Minor Updates
UKIMS support
ControlPort™ now supports additional data for UKIMS (UK Internal Market Scheme) on orders shipped to Northern Ireland. This allows traders to declare goods as “not at risk” of entering the EU when moving from Great Britain to Northern Ireland.
This update ensures compliance while also offering additional benefits. Declaring goods as “not at risk” allows traders to bypass EU tariffs on goods entering Northern Ireland, leading to potential cost savings. Shipments should also be processed more quickly at customs, as extensive customs declarations are not typically required for these goods.
ControlPort™ will automatically create a UKIMs number field when users raise wholesale orders from our UK fulfilment centre destined for Northern Ireland, allowing users to input their unique UKIMs number.
Printable Commercial Invoices
While many countries now accept electronic customs declarations, some still require a paper copy.
Our carrier integrations have been updated to support this requirement. Our system will now notify the dispatch team when orders require physical customs documents, enabling an operative to print the necessary paperwork and ship it with the order.
From now on, orders sent to these countries should see fewer delays at customs.
Retire Stock Pools
We’ve introduced the ability to retire stock pools that are no longer in use, helping users maintain a cleaner and more organised stock pools screen. Retired stock pools are not deleted and can be reactivated at any time.
To retire a stock pool, ensure it is empty, then click the “Retire” button. Please note that you will be unable to retire a stock pool that contains active stock.
To unretire it, simply locate the retired pool and click “Unretire.” This update offers better control over active inventory without compromising access to historical data.
Bug Fixes
- Retired products should no longer appear on the Browse Products screen.
- Replacement orders are now displayed correctly when browsing the replacement order screen.
- Resolved an issue preventing users from deleting ASNs for some products.
- Resolved a tracking issue for orders shipped via OCS, ensuring status updates are displayed correctly.
- Fixed an issue where the Postage Estimator was failing to return rates for Australia.
- Fixed an issue that was preventing customers from uploading images of return items in ViewPort.
- Resolved the issue with our FedEx integration that was causing the carrier to label valid phone numbers as invalid.
